About Dr. Salzberg
Dr. Lisa F. Salzberg is a licensed psychologist who has been practicing in Atlanta, Georgia for over 25 years. She is currently in private practice in the Buckhead area with Bernard B. Kahan, M.D. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Florida, then received her Master’s Degree and Doctorate in Psychology at the University of South Florida in Tampa. She interned at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center and Veteran’s Administration and then completed a 2 year postdoctoral fellowship in Behavioral Medicine at the Behavioral Medicine unit of UAB. In 1991, she relocated with her husband to Atlanta, Georgia where she became certified in conducting cognitive-
behavioral therapy at the Atlanta Center for Cognitive Therapy. She worked at the Atlanta Center for Cognitive Therapy for 2 years until partnering with Dr. Kahan in 1993.
Areas of specialization include behavioral medicine (coping with chronic illness, pain management, eating disorders and aging), adjustment and mood disorders, stress management, anxiety disorders, and relationship issues. She conducts individual, family, and marital therapy and primarily focuses on young adults through the elderly. Her therapy orientation is cognitive-behavioral.

Dr. Salzberg has been a longstanding member of the Georgia Psychological Association and the National Register of Health Service Providers.
Billing and Insurance
Dr. Salzberg participates in a select number of insurance panels. For information on these plans, as well as out of network provider benefits, please contact her billing service at 770.205.7641 and request Ms.Kelley Smith. In addition, any other billing and financial issues should be directed towards Ms. Smith.
Payment is expected at each session; cash, credit card and checks are accepted.
There is a 24 hour cancelation fee for missed appointments, with the exception of illness, emergency, etc.
